The voice of a deceased worker explains how it is to work in a Pakistani garment factory. A mother retells the night of September 11, 2012 to German journalists, when almost 300 workers perished in a Karachi factory fire. Between Germany and Pakistan, we follow Saeeda Khatoon as she and others build their cases against the Pakistani government, the factory owners, a German clothes brand and an Italian auditing company, whom they hold as respon- sible for the deaths of their loved loves. ‘How long until the next fire starts?’ the voice asks.
